M. Linton Wright
Of Counsel, Appellate Litigation
Linton Wright is an attorney known for his extensive legal research and writing experience and commitment to fostering the growth of his legal knowledge. Graduating from the Sturm College of Law in 2017, Linton has embarked on a diverse legal journey through private law firms, Colorado state government, and the legal academy.
Beginning his career as an associate attorney at Cohen, LLC, Linton gained valuable insights into various aspects of mass tort, franchise, and construction litigation. Linton then transitioned to the public sector by joining the Consumer Protection Section of the Colorado Attorney General’s Office. There, he helped investigate major pharmaceutical companies’ possible violations of Colorado law in relation to the opioid epidemic.
Following his tenure with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, Linton embarked on a two-year clerkship with Judge Terry Fox of the Colorado Court of Appeals. During this time, he helped draft dozens of appellate decisions involving complex issues of civil, constitutional, and criminal law. Assisting Judge Fox with these cases required thorough legal analysis, clear and persuasive writing, careful attention to detail, and effective time management—all of which are skills that Linton continues to use as an attorney since the conclusion of his clerkship. He has since worked on a variety of civil litigation and appellate matters.
In addition to his legal practice, Linton supports the professional development of law students and graduates as a Career Consultant at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. In this role, Linton provides invaluable guidance and mentorship to students in their pursuit of fulfilling legal careers. Linton has also authored two law review articles: one in 2016 while serving as an editor for the Denver Law Review (93 Denv. L. Rev. 551) and another in 2019 for Pace Law Review (39 Pace L. Rev. 711).
Linton brings a wealth of expertise and a diverse knowledge base to Gardner Legal Services, where he focuses his practice on appellate litigation and the continual development of the law in Colorado.
